The Payless Yellow Pages Search And Win Official Contest Rules

1) PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: No purchase necessary to enter or win. Promotion begins at 12:01 a.m. (PT) on May 1, 2006 and ends at 11:59 p.m. (PT) on May 31, 2006 (“promotion period”).

2) How to enter: Enter your email address here, then simply go the homepage and start clicking on the directory links on the left hand column. If you see a link pop up that says “you are an instant search and win, winner” then click on it to claim your prize. 

3) Play frequency: You may play as often as you wish. Payless Yellow Pages assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, postage due entries or m ail or for any computer, online, telephone, or human error or technical malfunctions that may occur. Incomplete entries are void. The use of any automated launching or entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits the participant to automatically enter or conduct searches repeatedly is prohibited.

4) Shipment of prize: Your prize will be shipped to the address provided within ninety (90) days, pending verification of eligibility. No other prize claim procedure is necessary. Winners must comply with this prize claim procedure. This procedure must be completed in its entirety in order to be deemed a winner and to receive a prize. No other method of prize claim (including, but not limited to copies, facsimiles or reproductions of web pages) will be accepted. Proof of game play does not constitute proof of winning. Limit: one (1) prize per person per category.

5) PRIZES/ODDS OF WINNING: You can see a list of our search and win contest prizes here. We cannot provide you with odds of winning at this time, since we do not know how many  many people will enter this contest.

Any applicable tax on a prize is the sole responsibility of the winner. Specifics of prize package are subject to availability and sponsor’s sole discretion. Usage and redemption of gift certificates/gift cards/subscriptions is subject to the terms and conditions of the issuing entity. Any and all guarantees and warranties for merchandise prizes are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim.

Travel prizes consist of round trip coach airfare for two (2) persons from major airport closest to winner’s home, transfers and double occupancy accommodations at destination stated in prize description above pertaining to the prize won. Travel prize winners must complete travel within one (1) year of date of notification or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Travel reservations must be made through Sponsor’s agent, on a carrier of Sponsor’s choice, at least 45 days prior to intended travel. Blackout periods and other restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Travel companion must travel with winner on same itinerary, and sign a release of liability and publicity (unless prohibited by law) prior to issuance of travel documents. If guest of a travel prize winner is under 18 years old, and is not the child of the winner, the guests' parent or legal guardian will be required to co-sign a travel release. Complete specifics and restrictions of prizes will be furnished at time of prize award. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if entire prize or a portion of the prize is unavailable. No barter, transfer, substitution or assignment of prize permitted, except by Sponsor at its sole discretion. Prizes not redeemable for cash. *The charitable contributions portion of the promotion require that the organizations selected by winner be located in the United States or one of its possessions or territories and be registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt, designated public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or as an instrumentality of a federal, state or local government as provided by Section 170(c)(1) of the Code. Payless Yellow Pages reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to make a final determination of any charitable contribution.

6) ELIGIBILITY: This Promotion is open only to legal residents of Canada and the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Payless Yellow Pages Corporation and anyone working directly on Payless Yellow Pages programs and their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, promotion, advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate family members (parent, child, spouse, and sibling) and persons living in the households of each are not eligible to enter.

7) GENERAL CONDITIONS: Promotion entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules. The laws of the United States and Canada govern this Promotion. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winner will be notified at time of game play and may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and where legal, Publicity Release within fourteen (14) days following the date of issuance of notification. Non-compliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner’s name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Payless Yellow Pages Corporation, its related companies, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, prize suppliers, employees and agents. from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Promotion or acceptance or use of any prize won.

8) INTERNET: If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, the sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Promotion or downloading any materials in this Promotion. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
