Some of the warning signs of juvenile diabetes are: excessive thirst and increased appetite, weight loss, frequent urination, sudden vision changes, sugar in the urine,  fruity, sweet, or wine-like odor on the breath, drowsiness, lethargy, heavy breathing, stupor, unconsciousness, and episodic ketoacidosis.
